As this is a new service, we are still working on instructions for different printer models - so we ask that our first clients for this service help us determine what works best on their printer and platform, this may rquire a bit more back-and-forth to get the exact printing steps you need to do for you printer and OS. Service Levels:
- Standard - Profiles created from 2000 color patches.
- Professional - A two-step process where we start by creating a 400 color patch profile, then that is fed back into creating a highly-optimized second set of 4000 patches.
Note: if you are getting profiles done for a desktop home/office style printer, message us at sales@bslprints.com and let us know the model and what computer operating system you use (Windows, Mac, Linux, Haiku, etc) first so that we can make sure your printer supports custom color profiles in general.
Custom ICC Profile Creation Service

Upon purchase of this service, we will send to your email address a file to print and instructions for your particular printer and the paper you will be profiling.
Simply mail us the resulting print and we will scan in the colors printed and provide you with an ICC color printing profile tuned specifically to your printer and to the paper you are profiling.
If choosing a "Professional" service level, then you will print and mail one set of colors, then we will provide you with a second customized set of colors based on the results of the first set - which you will then print and also mail for creation of the final color profile.
Cost of postage for the prints you mail to us is not included in the price of this service.
Profiles will be created using an X-Rite i1 Pro 3 and the open source Argyll CMS engine using custom-tuned settings for the paper being profiled and service level selected.
